Comment restriction taken off this blog

Blogware - the people hosting this blog - have added a rather good “comment verification” feature, meaning you have to type in the letters as they appear in a weird box - example below.

What this means is that people can't automate spamming to my blog - something that is often done to old posts to improve a site's ranking in search engines by providing links all over the Internet to a particular site.

As such I have lifted the anonymous poster restriction on this blog, so no longer do you have to go through the rigmarole of signing up with Blogware to get a username and password before you can post a comment.

Hopefully this will encourage a bit more debate on this blog, which is always an interesting thing.

I should warn though that I operate a no bullshit policy. Intelligent, incisive, amusing or interesting comments only. Everything else will be killed by me without any remorse or even explanation. I'm a cunt like that.
