What a paella!

I cooked myself such a terrific paella last night that I have been itching to eat the remainder for lunch today (and I may have the remainder for dinner). But before I scoffed it, I managed to hold off long enough to take some quick pictures.

Delicious. Recipe follows.

Having visited ICANN’s headquarters in Los Angeles a month ago, I have finally got around to visiting the organisation’s virtual HQ in Second Life.

The secretariat of the Internet Governance Forum, part of the United Nations, has updated its website to include all the session transcripts, plus Markus Kummer’s “informal summing-up” of them.
More interestingly though it has also stuck up an online form asking for feedback on the meeting, asking the broad questions: What worked well? and What worked [...]

I am a heartless cynic and, what’s more, I think that people who complain about others’ cynicism are either deluded fools or up to something. But there are occasions that make my heart and mind soar in unison.

They are:

Roberto Gaetano
Steven Goldstein
Rajasekhar Ramaraj

I have closely followed the process this time around – nominating myself and then making a [...]

I’ve just made my first official complaint to the BBC over its coverage of Saddam Hussein’s trial verdict this morning.
I was watching News 24 and was appalled to hear the presenters relishing the prospect of Hussein being given the death sentence (he has been), discussing in some detail how he might be killed. They were [...]
