I’m trying out some new Web2.0 stuff called Plazes, which tracks me as I move around.
I’ll tie it into this blog in a minute, but in the meantime, here is the URL to follow if you want to know where I am at any give time:

I have some code. Let’s see if this works…

Zittrain and the future of the Internet
1 Comment Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Internet, Journalism, TechnologyIt’s not often you start the day by kicking a dog full in the face. Actually I didn’t do it, but I did get closer than I ever thought possible to mangling a mutt’s features. I was on my morning jog and this little but sturdy beast broke away from its owners and started […]
Aaaaargh! I *hate* Microsoft and everything it touches
9 Comments Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Journalism, TechnologyI am being putting through one of those bi-annual days when you have to actually restrain yourself from smashing in your computer. And it is all thanks to Microsoft.
It started off badly earlier in the week from I tried to get a PGP key so I could send and receive secure emails. Because I […]
Becoming part of the story - expert or ego-maniac?
1 Comment Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Journalism, Sex.com, ICANNA story about the Sex.com case has appeared in the San Jose Metro which includes as many quotes from me as it does from Gary Kremen and from Cohen’s current lawyer. I was also heavily featured in a different article in the German FT on Sex.com last week. And on Monday I am going […]
Okay, I’ve just stuck up my first post on the ICANN blog. It is called “On the inside, look out… at a tornado” and it basically covers the second day working for ICANN and the first in which I met all the staff etc.
Why on earth am I blogging about a blog post? […]
Dynamic Coalition for Online Collaboration
0 Comments Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Internet, Journalism, WSIS, IGFI have just announced the creation of the “dynamic coalition” for online collaboration in the IGF meeting in Geneva. Effectively this is a group of people who plan to test and run online tools to help governments, businesses, civil society, NGOs and so on, have discussions and arrive at solutions, conclusions, recommendations, whatever. It […]

8 translation booths and 20 translators

4 X-ray machines
By the way, […]
The Internet rollercoaster starts up the track again: IGF in Geneva
4 Comments Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Internet, Journalism, WSIS, ICANN, IGF I am in Geneva for a stock-take of the first Internet Governance Forum in Athens last November.
It should be an interesting meeting. The one thing that no one is any doubt about is that the IGF will be bigger and more important in 2007. Born out of international discussion (some might say argument) at […]
Sex.com article in FT Deutschland
5 Comments Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Journalism, Sex.com There is an article about Sex.com in the German Financial Times this morning which rather nicely goes into detail about my book and includes several quotes from me.
The only thing is, I am pretty sure I didn’t say “rucksichtslose Schlaht” and I am certain the words “Seine Uberzeugungskraft ist aussergewohnlich” have never crossed my […]
Wednesday, Thursday, a touch busy sorting out my new role
1 Comment Published by Kieren 1 year, 4 months ago in Funny, ICANN I’m in Brussels trying to sort out exactly what I can do in my job in ICANN.
I have had no time to write anything because I’ve been trying to speak to everyone and trying to get as much out there and suck up as much as I can.
With a brain full of information I […]
